Open Water Swimming
Able to swim 25 yards continuously in open water conditions.

Deep Water Confidence
Comfortable treading water for 60 seconds without assistance.

Dive Entry & Breathing
Can execute a proper dive entry and swim with rhythmic breathing and good form.
Passing to the Next Level
- ✓Spot and safely escape a rip current from the shore and in the water
- ✓Swim freestyle while lifting the head to sight buoys and landmarks
- ✓Extend continuous open-water swims up to 50 yards
- ✓Practice safe entry, exit, and boundary awareness on the sand and in the surf
- ✓Sight every 6-8 strokes without breaking stroke rhythm
- ✓Pass a beach safety and hazard-awareness check
