Lifeguard ServicePolicies

By booking lifeguard services with Seabass Aquatics, the client acknowledges that swimming and aquatic activities involve inherent risks, including serious injury, illness, drowning, and other hazards associated with pools and aquatic environments.

The client understands that the presence of a lifeguard reduces risk but does not eliminate risk and does not guarantee that an accident, injury, or emergency will not occur.

The client is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all applicable insurance including property insurance any required permission from the property owner, HOA, apartment/community management, venue, or other facility operator before lifeguard services begin.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Seabass Aquatics, its owners and instructors against any third parties claims or loss arising from my or my child's actions with respect to Seabass Aquatics including taking swim lessons.

  • Lifeguard services are provided by reservation and subject to staff availability.
  • Clients must provide accurate information regarding the event location, pool type, estimated number of swimmers, swimmer ages, event duration, and any special aquatic features when requesting service.
  • The number of lifeguards required may be determined by Seabass Aquatics based on the number and ages of swimmers, pool layout, event activities, water features, and other safety considerations.
  • The number of lifeguards assigned to an event is determined by anticipated aquatic activity — not simply the total number of event guests.
  • Seabass Aquatics may require additional lifeguards when the size or nature of an event cannot reasonably be supervised by the originally requested staffing level.
  • A booking is not considered confirmed until Seabass Aquatics has provided confirmation and any required booking requirements have been completed.
  • Significant changes to the event — including guest count, hours, location, or aquatic activities — must be communicated before the event.
  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 72 hours before the scheduled start time of the event.
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event require full payment for the scheduled lifeguard services.
  • Requests to reschedule or significantly change the event date or time are also subject to the 72-hour policy.
  • Changes to the event's start time, end time, location, expected swimmer count, or activities are subject to lifeguard availability and are not guaranteed.
  • If conditions at the facility prevent lifeguard services from being safely provided, Seabass Aquatics may delay, modify, suspend, or end service.
  • Weather-related decisions will be made based on the conditions affecting the event and aquatic environment.
  • If Seabass Aquatics must cancel because a scheduled lifeguard becomes unavailable and a replacement cannot be provided, the client will not be charged for services that were not provided.
  • The client is responsible for providing a reasonably safe, clean, accessible, and properly maintained aquatic facility.
  • Seabass Aquatics lifeguards are hired to provide aquatic supervision and emergency response. They are not responsible for operating, maintaining, chemically treating, cleaning, or repairing the pool or facility.
  • Clients must disclose special pool features or planned activities, including water slides, diving boards, inflatables, bounce houses with water features, spas, deep-water areas, or other aquatic attractions before the event.
  • The client is responsible for obtaining any required permission from the property owner, HOA, apartment/community management, venue, or other facility operator before lifeguard services begin.
  • The pool and surrounding area must be accessible to the lifeguard at the scheduled start time.
  • The client remains responsible for the general supervision and conduct of guests outside of and the surrounding the aquatic area.
  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children. The presence of a lifeguard does not transfer parental or guardian responsibility to Seabass Aquatics.
  • All swimmers and guests must comply with reasonable safety instructions given by the lifeguard while using the aquatic area.
  • Lifeguards may restrict or stop activities they determine present an unreasonable safety concern.
  • Lifeguards may temporarily or permanently remove a swimmer from the water for unsafe behavior, repeated disregard of instructions, or conduct that places themselves or others at risk.
  • Diving, jumping, running, rough play, breath-holding activities, inflatables, slides, or other activities may be restricted when conditions make them inappropriate.
  • Lifeguards must maintain an unobstructed view of the water and may reposition themselves around the pool as necessary.
  • Guests may not intentionally distract, obstruct, interfere with, or prevent the lifeguard from performing their duties.
  • The lifeguard may temporarily clear the pool during an emergency, hazardous condition, weather event, contamination incident, or other safety concern.
  • In an emergency, the lifeguard may initiate emergency procedures, provide care within their training, and request 911/EMS assistance when appropriate.
The Lifeguard Has Final Authority Over Aquatic Safety During the Scheduled Service Period.
  • Lifeguard coverage begins and ends according to the confirmed service time.
  • Clients should ensure the pool is accessible and the event is ready for coverage at the scheduled start time.
  • Delays caused by the client or venue do not automatically extend the scheduled service period.
  • If the client would like lifeguard coverage to continue beyond the scheduled end time, additional service is subject to lifeguard availability.
  • Lifeguards are not required to remain beyond the confirmed service period unless an extension has been approved.
  • Seabass Aquatics' responsibility for lifeguard coverage ends at the conclusion of the confirmed service period.
Event Service Payment
  • Lifeguard service rates are based on the confirmed staffing, service duration, location, and event requirements.
  • Additional lifeguards, approved overtime, travel, or significant changes to the requested service may result in additional charges when applicable.
  • The client is responsible for payment according to the terms provided when the event is confirmed.
  • If additional service time is requested and approved, the additional time will be added to the final service charge.
  • Outstanding balances may prevent future lifeguard service reservations from being accepted.
