At-Home LessonProgram Policies
By registering for at-home lessons with Seabass Aquatics, I acknowledge that swimming and aquatic activities involve inherent risks of physical injury. On behalf of myself and/or my minor child, I knowingly assume such risks associated with participation.
I understand that the swimming pool and surrounding property used for instruction are not owned, operated, or controlled by Seabass Aquatics. I am responsible for ensuring that the pool and surrounding areas are reasonably safe, accessible, and suitable for swim instruction.
I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Seabass Aquatics, its owners and instructors against any third parties claims or loss arising from my or my child's actions with respect to Seabass Aquatics including taking swim lessons, to the fullest extent permitted by law. If registering a minor, I confirm that I am the legal parent or guardian and agree to these terms on their behalf.
- At-home lessons are scheduled based on instructor availability, location, and travel distance.
- The lesson location must be provided and approved by Seabass Aquatics before a recurring time slot is confirmed.
- A $25 non-refundable registration fee is required per swimmer upon sign-up.
- A $5 commute fee per swimmer, per lesson applies to at-home swim lessons.
- Seabass Aquatics reserves the right to adjust or discontinue a recurring lesson time due to scheduling, travel, or instructor availability.
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson. Cancellations within 48 hours require full payment.
- All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- If the instructor arrives but cannot access the property or pool, the lesson will be treated as a missed lesson and full payment will be required.
- Delays caused by gate access, parking, changing clothes, or the swimmer not being ready will count toward the scheduled lesson time.
- Lessons will end at their originally scheduled time and will not be extended due to late starts.
- If the pool is safe and accessible, the scheduled lesson remains payable in full even if a swimmer chooses not to enter the water or continue the lesson due to water temperature, a pool heater issue, weather preferences, missing swim gear, or another personal reason.
- If a swimmer is tired, upset, feeling unwell, or no longer wishes to participate at the scheduled lesson time, the lesson will still require full payment unless cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
- If a family chooses to leave early or end a lesson early, the lesson will still end at its originally scheduled time and require full payment.
- Families are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and accessible swimming environment for each lesson.
- Pool water must be properly maintained and suitable for swimming. Seabass Aquatics does not inspect, maintain, chemically balance, heat, or otherwise operate client pools.
- The pool deck and surrounding lesson area must be reasonably free of hazards before instruction begins.
- For gated, HOA, apartment, or community pools, the family is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission for a private swim instructor to enter and provide lessons.
- Seabass Aquatics reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel instruction if the instructor determines that the pool or surrounding conditions are unsafe.
- Payment for each lesson, including any applicable commute fee, is due by the end of the day of the scheduled lesson.
- Payments may not be carried over to the next scheduled lesson. Future lessons may be paused if an outstanding balance remains unpaid.
- Full payment is still required if a lesson cannot take place due to a late cancellation, missed lesson, or inability to access the pool.
